HIPS is a collaboration between LA-based artists Drew Denny and Christina Gaillard. The multi-instrumentalists have played in a handful of bands together and formed HIPS as an all-female vehicle with an emphasis on innovative dance beats, heavy bass melodies, and lush vocal harmonies. Gaillard produces all recordings with Denny writing lyrics and melodies. The result is a throwback to early freestyle dance music drowned in a sea of 90’s R&B production.
