Drew Denny visited Mineros San Juan for the first time in August of 2008 to photo-document the development of the settlement. While there, she was given the job of shooting Christmas cards for the residents.
She returned in 2010 to produce a short documentary that illustrates the progress of the project and daily life on the settlement. While shooting, some of the settlement kids asked Drew to help them re-write a local legend so they could adapt the story for film. Drew hopes to return to the settlement to create the film with the children of Mineros San Juan.
