Reclamation
Co-founded by Drew Denny and Kyoung Kim, Reclamation is a large-scale environmentally conscious collaborative endeavor that re-combines and re-contextualizes environmental practices and faith into a pseudo-religion in order to investigate the process of generating a system of belief by creating sacred spaces, enacting rituals, and engaging a public community. The four sacred spaces of the RECLAMATION project are Planetarium, Aquarium, Terrarium and Solarium. Denny and Kim were awarded the Cal Arts Integrated Media award and Student Council Award as well as a grant from The Netherlands Mondrian Foundation, and participated in residencies in Amsterdam, Berlin, Reykjavik, Mexico City and Nida Art Colony in Lithuania.
